How to Use Copper and Green Bee Drinkers

Place your Copper and Green Bee Drinkers amongst your plants in pots, beds and borders.  As it rains, or as you water your plants, a little water rests in the bee drinkers and allows thirsty pollinators to access some well deserved refreshment.  You may wish to mimic nature and add a little gravel or sand to the bee drinkers to give bees an area to land right above the water level.

You can bend the Bee Drinker stems if you wish to change their shape, but do this gently, around your leg, such as to not kink the copper.  Also, be careful if you press the stem into hard ground.  If you are feeling strong, you can also shape the Bee Drinker top to get the look you require.  The copper stem or top will not break but be careful with the joint between the two components where they are soldered together.  If you bend the stem, just hold the stem.  If you bend the top, just hold the top.

The copper Bee Drinker top is lacquered to keep it bright and protected from the elements. However, this will age with time and naturally darken and develop a patina.

As well as providing a drink for pollinators, Copper Bee Drinkers can also be used to feed birds.  To do this simple use bird feed, seed, meal worms etc. on the top of the Bee Drinker.  The food will sit in water if it rains!  However the birds don't seem to mind!
